CARTOONING BASICS for Ages 7-10
Class Sessions are 8-weeks long and meet once a week for 2-hours unless otherwise specified.
-All NEW STUDENTS will begin with the Intro to Cartooning 4-week class.
BONUS: -Along with paper and pencils for class work, all students receive
a special Cartoonist Academy Sketchbook as part of the class.

Welcome to the wonderful world of cartooning! In this fun 4-week class, you'll learn about being a cartoonist and how to enjoy drawing cartoons for work and play. You'll focus on developing drawing techniques, deciding on art materials, and preparing your artistic understanding as a cartoonist.
You'll also learn a fun history of cartoons as they link to different genres such as comic books, comic strips, animation, greeting cards, web games, book illustrations, and many others.
From how to do it as a job, to simply how to draw a funny note for friend or family. . . this is the foundation class for the other classes taught at the Cartoonist Academy.

Do you want to learn how to create and draw your own cartoon characters? With demonstrations and examples, each 1-hour class of the full 8-week course is designed to take beginner and experienced cartoonists through assignments that will define and refine their cartooning skills. They will gain knowledge and training to draw cartoon characters, and find the confidence and inspiration to create their own cartoon creations.
